ABOUT US

Badbury Park Primary School

Badbury Park Primary School is part of The Blue Kite Academy Trust which consists of many schools across Swindon.

Badbury Park is a vibrant, friendly place where the children are at the heart of everything we do. We believe in teaching skills, sharing knowledge and building special memories that children will take with them through the rest of their lives. We believe that through inspirational teaching, determination, love and laughter, the children in our school can achieve their greatest potential, regardless of their starting points in life. We aspire to do this through a creative curriculum, with outdoor learning and play at its core, promoting confidence, collaboration and engaging curiosity. We believe in teaching, modelling values and preparing children for life in the 21st Century, giving them a solid foundation for their future.

The staff will have a school where:

  • They are proud to achieve the highest academic standards and the children leave with results in line with the best in the country

  • They celebrate diversity, creativity and curiosity

  • They are happy and relaxed and enjoy learning just as much as the children do

  • They create inspirational environments and provide activities to enthuse and enrich the learning experiences creating confident, resilient and independent learners for life

The children will have a school where:

  • They feel safe and happy, supported by adults who are friendly and kind, who provide stimulating learning experiences

  • They want to learn inside and outside, in a colourful and fun environment and use exciting new technologies to explore the world around them

  • They become more empowered to take responsibility for their own learning

  • They become articulate and able to talk freely and confidently

  • They understand much more deeply their work and their lives

  • Learning is underpinned by the continuous improvement of personal, social, moral and economic well-being

The parents and local residents will have a school:

  • That is the heart of the local community and where children achieve well

  • Which offers stimulating extra-curricular activities that support our children in becoming independent

  • Where children are encouraged to learn in the natural environment

  • That promotes healthy lifestyles and a positive well-being for all

  • Where the behaviour is excellent and the children have a desire to learn

Can you imagine a school where……

Children don’t just use text books, but they do dissect hearts,

They follow maths trails in Hogwarts to make potions,

They discuss characters with Mr Wonka and Oompa Loompas,

And create aliens in mud or search for dragons and dinosaurs

They meet kings and servants and fairies and pirates,

They perform surgery on words and punctuate with plasters,

They solve number problems in World War I trenches,

They fight on historic battlefields and dance in their own videos,

And make historical figures come to life in 3D…?
